Some useful tips there......here is one more.
Phone up near the end of your contract and if you get a good deal go for it equally if you are offered nothing or next to nothing be polite but say you will leave it.
Phone up again later in the day or the next day and try again....I am convinced a different agent might offer you a better deal.
Worth a try if you really want to stay with PN.

Cityfibre have just laid a fibre line outside our house. 500/500 cheaper than 80/20 Plusnet are supplying.
I won't be calling for a better deal....

Only issue I have is no static IP on residential lines.
If it helped click the thumb
If it fixed it click 'This fixed my problem'

Same concern but I did find a post on one of the Vodaphone forums saying you can request a static IP address.

Another concern is the supplied router, there doesn’t seem to be many, if any, configurable options, can’t work out what it could be replaced with. You’ll find there will be many salesmen calling most days but none of them have a clue about the product. Vodaphone is a preferred supplier maybe Plusnet should be taking an interest....

It can occasionally be best to not change an existing account.
In the early years of broadband, prices decreased year-on-year - I've got a product that's about 6 years old and (with one exception) there have been no price rises.
There are cheaper "offers" from time to time but these are only of a temporary nature - half price for the first 6 months followed by huge "full-price" rates.
It all depends - look before you leap!
And customer service is important.
