Garmin Sat Nav

Hi,  does anyone have a Garmin 51 lmt-s or 52mt-s?  I can't see any difference between them and they are both about the same price.  Just wondering if one is better than the other.  Thanks.

Re: Garmin Sat Nav

Curry's showing one ten quid more than the other.

Check out the specifications?

Usually more 'bangs for your bucks' if you are paying extra.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Re: Garmin Sat Nav

Reading between the lines they are both obsolete and have been replaced by the 52 series. I wonder whether the l relates to live traffic updates?

Re: Garmin Sat Nav

LMT is Lifetime maps and traffic, MT is just Maps and traffic. All traffic is via a smartphone hook up (S). Digital traffic is denoted by (D), but that is being discontinued next year. My last 2 satnavs have been Garmin as they allow your own POI's with proximity alerts,so I can use the Pocketgpsworld camera database.

Hi Mark,  thanks for your reply.  That is very helpful, I didn't realise what LMT meant.
