Garlic galore

A bit sun and the winter garlic in one of our four newly raised beds has started to shoot up, along with a garden getting more popular by the day as next doors honey bees from just their single hive make the most of our mixture of both planted and wild flowers.

I find it amazing how even the smallest of gardens can be so busy and productive.

All credit to Mrs Minivanman of course. Thumbs_Up

I like garlic, trouble is if you are sitting next to someone who has not eaten garlic they maay not like it.

Re: Garlic galore

Last year I put four young strawberry plants (just cut off their runners) in a bucket in my unheated greenhouse.

Already had a couple of bowls of strawberries and cream while my others plants outside are just flowering.

Re: Garlic galore

As a kid I used to pick wild garlic from the shoreline when we went to the beach. Can't remember where exactly.

The bulbs were small glassy translucent and very smelly.

@billnotben

We have lots round by us, and we even have some growing wild in the garden behind us. Not really that smelly I've found m'self, just a faint hint of garlic when the breeze catches them.
