Re: Funny Commercials......

@shutter,  I'm having a problem with opening the videos. Getting an error message.  Is there a problem with Youtube?

Re: Funny Commercials......

Do you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player? You need that to play Youtube videos, go on Adobe.com for it.

Re: Funny Commercials......

Got my Youtube problem resolved and watched the commercials.  Funny Grin
The problem though is that commercials that rely on humour tend to lose their appeal rather quickly.  They are shown many times in a short space of time and become boring.

Re: Funny Commercials......

They don't make adverts like they used to, remember the "Green Cross Code" ads back in the 70s with David "Darth Vader" Prowse as the Green Cross man? And the Smash ads with the robots? And the PG Tips ads with the Chimps? Classics they were.

Re: Funny Commercials......

In the first advert, something caught my eye.  In Japan (and maybe it's an Eastern thing) if a guy has a nosebleed it.... suggests... something else which requires a bit of blood to pump it up.  It's good to know that sexual innuendo can occur in adverts too, not sure a UK advert would pass muster if one of the characters had an umm, nosebleed which means something else.

Re: Funny Commercials......

I think the meerkat ads were inspired my Geico Insurance ads from the US where they use a gecko with an English accent.

My favourite Castlemaine ad was the runaway plane.
Sadly I can't find a copy of the original anywhere.
