http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4869378/We-allowed-standards-drop-Navy-ADMITS.html
When a quick check on Wiki shows that the two ships were NOT aircraft carriers...
USS John McCain
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_John_S._McCain_(DDG-56)
USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) is an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer
and the other one
USS FItzgerald.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Fitzgerald
USS Fitzgerald (DDG-62), is an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer in the US Navy
Seems to me the Daily Mail have "allowed standards to drop" ! ! ! ! !

Sad sign of the times.
Many different skills are being lost all around the country.

We should be rebuilding naval skills in this country:
- A large fleet of Coastal protection cutters, with missile and depth charge capability;
- Destroyers to protect the two large expensive white elephants;
- Disaster rescue ships equipped with town sized electricity generators, fresh water generators, communications and hospital facilities to be sent to disaster areas.
Of course these vessels should be built in the UK. Now where can we find £35 Billion to fund this?

Have you checked the back pockets of the nation's politicians? There's usually a lot of taxpayer money hidden there...
Also, try down the back of the sofa, there's always the odd coin or two down there...
