French Air Traffic Controllers on strike

French Air Traffic Controllers are going to strike for two days,... Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th... so if you are due to fly .... check with your airline/operator to see what is happening to your flight...

Re: French Air Traffic Controllers on strike

They should do what Reagan did many years ago - sack them all and employ new staff.

Re: French Air Traffic Controllers on strike

Or do what happened to me some years ago.
Sack them all and invite them to re-apply for their jobs on revised contracts.

Re: French Air Traffic Controllers on strike

They should all get  the sack but being France no chance of that happening.
Will be flying myself on 12th so hopefully any backlog will have been cleared by then.

I remember when France used to laugh at Britain with our union ravaged industry. Then came Maggie  Smiley

Re: French Air Traffic Controllers on strike

If there was an election in France now I don't think Hollande would be getting re-elected.
