Chatting to the aerial installer apprantly the transmitter you get your TV signal from effects what type of aerial you need to get a decent reliable signal plus how its installed & aligned is extremely important to.

Yes Aerials are "grouped" depending on the part of the spectrum your TX uses, though it's common to just use wideband Aerials (that cover the entire spectrum these days.

The groups are/were

Group A – UHF Channels 21-37 (470-606Mhz)

Group B – UHF Channels 35-53 (582-734Mhz)

Group C/D – UHF Channels 48-68 (686Mhz-854Mhz)

Group E – UHF Channels 35-68 (582-854Mhz)

Group K – UHF Channels 21-48 (470-686Mhz)

Wideband - UHF Channels 21-69  (470-854Mhz)

With the "clearance" (aka auctioning off of 700 & 800 MHz to the mobile operators) then as you can see Group K will cover the entire spectrum in the not to distant future

Re: Freeview Play to air retune London (June 2020)

I've just retuned and got 13 more channels than when I retuned ten days ago, mostly channels that tell me that they've moved or are no longer available etc.  I'll have to go through the list on the Freeview website and check whether I've got the ones I should be getting.

I used to say that I was quite happy with the five terrestrial channels we had before we went digital, and in truth I only check the tv guide to see what's on those plus two others.  Despite the huge number of channels I can't find anything I want to watch between 7 and 8 pm.

I had CCXTV on channel 23, and still do, but it now says, "Retune now to see CCXTV".  Why?
