Forgive me for being a bit pre-emptive..

But every year we have the same old debate as we head into winter about the CLOCKS changing time every year. Do we need to? Why bother? etc.
Every year the clocks then change and then the whole debate is forgotten about until the next year - where it happens, the clocks move, the debate drops until the next year etc.
So this year I'm starting it EARLY so that we have plenty of time to get the momentum going on the topic and decide once and for all:
Do we really need to keep changing the time every winter?

Back to the topic please!
Do you think we should still be changing our clocks every winter? Scotland has it's own borders, they can have their own timezone too.. right?

Re: Forgive me for being a bit pre-emptive..

No
However there must be a logical sensible reason why, it was decided to be changed
Or
Was it because someone randomly said it should ?Huh

No it was (as I'm told) because the scots were finding it incredibly dark in the mornings during the winter. To keep them sweet (as we always try) we went with DST in order to make their mornings lighter at the cost of our evenings.
We are technically two different countries. I do not see why we cannot operate two timezones now that the scots have their own parliament.

Only if we change them in the opposite direction again in the spring Wink

Back in those dark and dirty olden days, the farmers couldn't see when they ploughed the fields and milked the cows, so BST was invented.
Now-a-days there is a thing called a flood light.  Crazy
