First female submariners in Royal Navy's 110-year history

[quote=http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-27281416]Three women have become the first female submariners in the 110-year history of the Submarine Service.
Lieutenants Maxine Stiles, Alexandra Olsson and Penny Thackray earned their "Dolphins" after months of training, including operations on HMS Vigilant.
Defence Secretary Philip Hammond hailed their "huge personal achievement" and said it was "an historic moment for the Royal Navy and our armed forces".
A ban on women submariners based on health fears was lifted in 2011.

Congratulations to them... gaining the "Dolphin" is no easy task..... the next, and very gruelling task, will be when they go for command of a submarine, and have to do the "perisher" course....
There can be no tougher examination of command, anywhere........

What is the likelihood, that the "Dolphin"  may be easier than it was 110 years ago ?Huh

To quote a famous tennis player..... "You cannot be serious"....  Gaining your Dolphin badge is serious stuff.... and with modern submarines and technology, how can you suggest that it is easy, or easier than it was 110 years ago...
The mind boggles....

I thought not, that's why I asked the likelihood
No harm in asking though Smiley
I guessed the Royal Navy would not drop standards et al Wink
