Re: First AirFrance A380 Flight

My son came back from Manila recently business class and the last leg (from Dubai) was on an A380. He was most impressed.  Cool

Re: First AirFrance A380 Flight

At least its free delivery, will save a couple of Euro's.
I think I'll wait though TBH - you're trying to sell to a guy who's travelling on a different flight to his wife to save money...

Re: First AirFrance A380 Flight

Leaving a wife  unsupervised at duty free is a way to save money ?  Grin
Strange that Air France didn't get an earlier delivery - but I suppose they weren't prepared to be a launch customer ..

I like how you say 'as a rough guide' and then proceed to state the amount right down to a penny's precision. Smiley

Re: First AirFrance A380 Flight

I put "as a rough guide" because on the original linky there are several different euro values on several different lots,  ranging from about 2,000 to 11,000 euros, therefore using the 5,000 figure, should you wish a "rough guide" it can be achieved with minimum maths .... the actual value of 5,000 was found by going to this site....
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
where you can input any amount of any currency, and convert it in "real time" to any currency.... (as values change on the stock market, so the exchange rate varies on the site)
At the present time, 5,000 euros is equiv to £4,555.31  as at 21:45 bst ! ! !

Re: First AirFrance A380 Flight

I seem to remember that one of the Far East airlines auctioned their first flight tickets.  Was it Singapore Airlines?

Google's useful for currency conversions too - e.g. to to find out how much $100 is worth in pounds, you can just enter '100 USD in GBP' as a search term and voilà. In fact Google can do loads of useful things...

Before I bid for my ticket does anyone know if the dodgy engines and crappy wiring got sorted out yet.
