Facebook

IPO has valued facebook at $104bn for what amounts to an electronic advertising billboard placement company (plus a few add-on apps).
Anyone think it's over valued. I'd put the value (against projected revenue) at around $25bn.

Re: Facebook

I'm trying to find someone that thinks it's not over valued, a much rarer beast.
Certainly on this side of the pond.

IMO the price is inflated, it'll soon drop once the excitement has passed.

Re: Facebook

So should I have kept that piece of paper promising 1% of the student's new company after I rescued him  when his old car broke down in the Nevada desert back in 2003? Some guy called Mark Suchreberg or something like that. I think I tucked the note in an old tourist guide book....

Before the IPO, your profile was worth $3 in annual advertising revenues.

I don't get it, how come an IPO has increased my facebook value?

Before is what you were earning
Now is what they need to make from you to justify the $38+ a share Cheesy

The valuation method is based on the S.W.A.G. technique.
