Extended DVD

I have a little problem forum members may be able to help with.
Mrs Petlew likes to watch DVD's while I am out working (short hours part-time). However, since she is no longer able stand or walk unassisted she is unable to get to the player to change a disc.
So does anybody know if its possible to obtain or even be able to use a SCART lead of at least 10mtrs in length, so I can run the lead around the room and reposition the player near to where Mrs P sits for most of the day.
Alternately, is there such a thing as a lead-less (er!  radio) SCART connector? I suspect not.
My concern is that SCART leads are generally supplied in lengths of not much more than 3 or 4mtrs, is this simply there is no call for longer leads, or is there concern about signal loss over longer lengths.

Re: Extended DVD

SCART cables come in 10m lengths and longer  (20m appears to be the longest).  Although for longer leads, quality of the lead is definately an issue.

Wirelss SCART leads are available..  http://lmgtfy.com/?q=wireless+scart

Many thanks kmilburn. I'll look into those.

Re: Extended DVD

Any wireless audio/video sender should work, they are usually supplied with scart cables..

Re: Extended DVD

Interesting, given the cost of the shorter length SCARTS (2mtr) I surprised how "cheap" 10mtr leads are!!
But thanks again guy's, didn't realise they were so commonly available.

Re: Extended DVD

That kind of price differential is not uncommon.
The most expensive part of manufacturing cables is usually putting the connectors on each end,  the length of the cable has only a minor effect on the cost.
