When I saw the title of this topic I thought it was another of President Trump's wacky Executive Orders.

I'd rather be brewing beer...... in fact I'd rather be doing anything!

I've used inverted commas for many years and grown quite fond of them.

I don't want to see them replaced by some obscure script.

What do we want!?

"Inverted Commas"

When do we want them!?

"NOW!"

I think inverted comma`s are quite pretty ! ! ....

better than putting 66 and 99 before and after a quote... or even the words "quote" and "unquote"  

I also like the proper use of exclamation mark !   as it can give an extra meaning to a sentence.

Especially in law cases... " 100 years m`lud !   thank you very much ...."

Ellipses are OK too, when not used to excess, and preferably consisting of 3 dots ...

Some folk around these parts take exception to the three dots as some people seem to use them to excess, naming no names.
