Tesco store left with only 16 baskets after almost 500 are stolen... because shoppers refuse to pay...

Years ago when I lived in the town centre we frequently used to have our own shopping trolley from the local supermarket on the other side of the road. My mate who was living in the house would bring it back full of shopping straight in via the front door into the kitchen (lazy s*d  ). It would then sit in the back yard until the next trip over there and then promptly return home with him again.
Security knew about it and didn't really worry, they all knew us (manager included).. we were in there every day almost! We'd either be bowling the baskets along the floor or be playing frisbee with the pizzas (Ok, frisbee only happened once or twice but it was common to see a basket shooting along the floor!) All the security and checkout staff knew when we were about lol. Those were the days..
