Essex Floods

Heavy rain in Essex yesterday has caused heavy flooding.  I haven't seen any postings from Pierre today so hope he is OK.
Here's a link with some of our local news:

Below are some pics taken today showing the River Wid and Serendipity Lake with St. Mary's Church in the background of the third one.  Sorry for the poor quality as they were taken on a phone camera.

I was just going to post some query as to how Pierre was faring after watching the news!  Do hope he has not been washed away!

As has been said before on reception threads, I live on top of a hill, If I get flooded there will be no one to pay the  insurances
we (I) had 27mm rain since about 1800, and still a lot of snow lying around that had to melt
