Re: Empty Podium - debate

If the main protagonist is not there people might realise the face to face debate is rather pointless. After all we're not going to be voting for a President.

Re: Empty Podium - debate

I would rather watch this three "Podium" from Russia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZs_csaqAcc&list=RDNZs_csaqAcc#t=1
Than any political party leader(s) trying to score points off each other...... however, if our "beloved leader" of this county is too scared to be there, then it proves he cannot stand up to public scruitiny for his actions over the past , nor can he be believed about his future policies if he is not there to show case them....

Re: Empty Podium - debate

At the end of the day there are only 2 people that can end up as PM - Cameron or Milliband. To have any other parties there would serve no real purpose.
I see no problem in a series of debates that could involve the smaller parties so all views are heard.

Re: Empty Podium - debate

Ofcom are choosing who counts as a major party, if classified as a major party the tv broadcasters are required to let them have X amount of advertisements and have them on at least 1 tv debate.

I do wish people would read and understand the FACTS   Cry. http://media.ofcom.org.uk/news/2015/major-parties-consultation/

If she is involved I think Natalie Bennett will be the Clegg factor of the 2015 election

Re: Empty Podium - debate

Life would be simpler if they banned political Parties. Electors would then have to decide on which candidate would represent them at Parliament. At present people vote indirectly for Camerband.

And anyone who wants to be a politician should be banned from ever becoming one.
