Elected official fails to attend any meetings.

17659 voters recently elected a dead man to the post of City Treasurer in a Californian town.

Apparently local officials think his seat will remain vacant.

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Sounds like the result was a dead cert, then....

Re: Elected official fails to attend any meetings.

I wonder how many of those in the House of Lords need a poke with a stick to see they are still alive, assuming they can be bothered to turn up in the first place. Lord Andrew LLoyd Webber anyone?

Interesting (or not) fact alert: The House of Lords now has more than 800 members, making it the second largest legislative chamber in the world - surpassed only by the China’s National People’s Congress. Crazy2

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.

The HoL should be literally decimated to 80 members. Perhaps a a game of musical chairs would do the job?
