Re: Ducks & Frogs

West Midlands frogs are going to have to wait until Friday.  Sad

The older I get, the earlier it gets late.

Re: Ducks & Frogs

No rain here till Thursday night, the ducks and frogs won't like it but the fishing is good. Cheesy

A float tip is pleasing in its appearance and even more pleasing in its disappearance.

I let the grass grow long this past few weeks, with just the occasional watering.

The soil when tested remained moist.

When the rain was forecast for Friday, I cut the grass back Thursday whilst it was dry, a few discoloured patches down below.

Two days of rain, and the grass is back to a wholesome green all over, again.

and.... the slugs & snails are back !!

I've had to replenish the bird baths up to 3 times a day, some birds do insist on bathing, which splashes water everywhere !

But on the plus side, now plenty of worms for the birds to eat....

Re: Ducks & Frogs

You don't live in Frogmorton do you ?

Frogmorton as depicted in The Lord of the Rings Online.

Frogmorton was a village located in the Eastfarthing region of The Shire. ...

Bilbo Baggins claims to have walked from Hobbiton to Frogmorton in The Hobbit.

Frogmorton (Frog Mort On) ie Dead Frog !!

Re: Ducks & Frogs

We’ve got cats which have the courtesy of bringing frogs in the house regardless of the weather 😐
