Do you hate it when you ask support for a specific O/S > Device then=====>

Someone comes along & say things like
I can not help as I never used that O/S, but here is what I found on Google et al
However
You need to spend more money on a new device that uses a different O/S > Device
Or
I wouldn't touch that O/S > Device with a bargepole
Or
You need this other O/S > Device because of what silly names they think of at that time for the O/S > Device you require support for
Etc etc

That's why it is in Chit Chat. If you had posted it in the Linux/Mac forum they might have been rapped for it  Undecided
In here anything goes including hijacking treads.

it wasn't a hijack as such though was it
it was an opinion in the opinions are allowed forum ......
and if you want to flog a dead horse that's up to you, but your going to have to do the exact same thing every time there is an OS update, sure it will get easier to remember the steps each time but its still a waste of time when there is an alternative, unless you don't value your own personal time that is (me I find mine to be valuable so were I in that situation I would consider the outlay "cheap" to replace the device)
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
