The scientists studied 189 dishwashers in 101 different homes around the world.

Oh really ! ?  Do the majority of people who own a dish washer have more than one ?,  or were there 100 homes with the usual one appliance, but one dishwasher fetishist had 89 ?

Re: Dishwashers! Danger!

Our kitchen is too small for a dish washer, not that I would be wanting one.
I can see the advantage for large families but hardly economical if there are no more than a couple of people living in a house.
Not sure if it's true but I also understand that some dishes still need to be cleaned by hand, ie dishes with egg on them or certain dessert dishes such as sticky toffee pudding.
In addition not everything is dishwasher safe.

Never have seen the point of a dishwasher.
By the time you've loaded it up then bend down to take everything out and put it away you may as well have done it all by hand in the first place.

Have ordered a new dishwasher: swedish, slim, blond and 20 years old.

Mine too, but I have asked her to go on a diet.

Re: Dishwashers! Danger!

Uhmm! so you think your kitchen sink, washing up bowl, dish-cloth and tea towel with tepid water and washing-up liquid would be more hygienic eh!! I'd consider that if I were you.
Or install a medical autoclave. Domestic dishwashers work at temperatures far higher than you could stand by hand, typically 65c some higher.
We seem to be destroying our bodies natural defences by placing too much emphasis on chemically created "cleanliness" or at the very least worrying too much about it.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Dihydrogen Monoxide is a dangerous catalyst when mixed with Potassium Permanganate and Glyxxxxxx!  People possessing Dihygrogen Monoxide should be brought the the attention of the security authorities.
