TT are also unlimited in their propensity for imposing arbitrary FUP and traffic shaping.

Just read their forum and it seems it's not as easy as that. New customers only, must be wearing blue socks, have a name that begins with P etc in order to get this wonderful offer. Quite comical to read all the existing customers questioning TT and them getting no answers.

Re: Discussion on TalkTalk Unlimited Offering

There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding limits.
I was told on numerous occasions that their is no FUP for the Plus package and also seen where it states there there will be an FUP for the new Essentials package.
But their website shows an FUP for Plus and not for Essentials. Perhaps this will be made clearer in due course.
BTW, I regularly go over 500GB.

From a post on TB Forum
Quote
According to the TalkTalk website, if you're on the Plus package these services get priority over essentials customers:
Newsgroups
Browsing/email
Voice over IP (VOIP)
Gaming
Audio streaming
Video streaming
Music downloads
Video downloads
Instant Messaging
Software updates
P2P is throttled on both tariffs at peak times.

Re: Discussion on TalkTalk Unlimited Offering

Shouldn't discussion of TalkTalk's prices etc. be split to a separate topic and moved elsewhere?

Yes I am with TalkTalk after leaving Plusnet, I was on essentials with 40GB download allowance, However my contract ( 12 ) month was almost up so I got a ( loyalty ) bargain, Unlimited broadband and Unlimited calls ( day or night ) Including 0845/0870 and all for the handsome sum of....£20.00 a month. So loyal customers ' could ' get a deal very similar to mine If they are prepared to haggle. Very happy that I did. Smiley

Re: Discussion on TalkTalk Unlimited Offering

They were hassling people in our local Morrisons I noticed on Sunday.
Someone tried to stop me and said "Do you pay for your broadband?" to which I answered "Yes" and walked off.
No idea (and couldn't care less) what that offer scam was about.
