Disabled people and driving lessons

Topic.
I'm disabled and have Asperger's, and I would like to do driving lessons, anyway about 10 years ago I applied for a provisional license but was refused on health grounds by the DVLA, 10 years later I would like to reapply, because although I know I can't drive a car with manual gears, I'd like lessons in an Automatic.
Anyone think it's worth applying again or would they refuse me on "health grounds" again? Before, they also said that because I get mad rather easily, I'd be a candidate for "road rage".

Go to the NAS website.
http://www.autism.org.uk/living-with-autism/out-and-about/driving.aspx
They have a load of info about ASD and driving.
