Digital Region Broadband

South Yorkshire's Digital Region Broadband service finally closed this week.
Of the few customers I spoke to they all said that the service had not been advertised anything like as much as needed.
That made me think of this topic and the power of advertising.
I know of 1 business which took advantage of the service to connect 2 factory sites for database access and is now looking at viable alternatives as BT Fibre is unavailable.

Re: Digital Region Broadband

I was on Digital Region as it was the only way to get more than 3Mb in my area.
It was a Great service, really reliable and super fast but they really should have advertised that it existed.  I didn't realise it was even available in my area until a former colleague mentioned it to me in passing.

Re: Digital Region Broadband

What to some was a glaringly obvious solution to the above issue with Digital Region appears to be taking shape.
A deal between the affected councils and BT has been agreed to fund the project.

Good luck to them and hopefully it will be better publicised this time.
