Diesel car owners ruin your gin and tonic.

Apparently there's a European shortage of CO2 to pump into your favourite lager or tonic water.   Clearly it these thoughtless owners of diesel cars reducing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Diesel car owners ruin your gin and tonic.

Perhaps it would be fairer to apportion blame to more than just thoughtless diesel car owners. Let us not forget the very large number of diesel trains running on our railways on a daily basis, the hundreds and thousands of diesel HGV's pounding up and down the country day in day out and the hundreds of diesel engined ships that pass through the English Channel daily, coupled with the smog and fumes blown up from our neighbours across the Channel.

Just trying to keep things balanced Wink

Re: Diesel car owners ruin your gin and tonic.

@AlaricAdair  As one of the constituents of exhaust systems of motor vehicles is CO, including diesels, surely the government should be fitting specialised equipment to collect said CO, and then by another process, divide it into two piles,  one of C   and one of O....  thus the government would be gaining free stocks of both,... saving the planet, by collecting the Carbon, and also be able to sell on the C &  O to the food and drink companies, ( at a very high taxable profit)..  Food and drink companies, and any other business that requires CO2, only has to put twice as much O as C into their product, and thus everyone is happy ...

This may not make a certain London Mayor happy though... as he would be deprived of some capital, ( now there`s an idea ! ! ! ! ) Cheesy

I never drink and drive as it tends to spill on roundabouts or when someone asks me the timeFunny

The CO2 shortage is an annual  seasonal problem with ammonia (NH3)
