David Cameron is the New Prime Minister

Brown has resigned and will be going to the Palace to tender his resignation and David Cameron will be asked by the Queen to form a new government. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Re: David Cameron is the New Prime Minister

There are some difficult problems ahead.  it will be interesting to see Cameron's cabinet when it is announced.
So who do we think will be appointed?

Re: David Cameron is the New Prime Minister

It seems most people expect St Vince of Cable to be First Secretary to the Treasury but this afternoon there was a strong rumour that Ken Clarke will be chancellor and not George Osbourne who could become Business Secretary.  Clarke would make a good chancellor with a good track record.

Now that's a well rounded non partisan opinion  Roll eyes unless you mean all politicians are a bunch of opportunist slime-balls. In which case your post has indeed got merit   Shocked

Obviously we all prefer to be told what to do by Old Etonians.

As an MP maybe, but not as a person.  There are one or two, (or three or four) of our great Public Schools, who train their pupils to be the leaders of the world, and very few of their pupils don't go on to be leaders in each and every field where money, power or influence is to be had.  And the vast majority of those come from families whose male members have attended those self-same schools for generations.
