DVLA

Government departments often get criticize for their poor efficiency. I had excellent service from DVLA this week. On Sunday afternoon I applied online for a new licence. It arrived in the post on Wednesday morning. Can't complain there Smiley

Re: DVLA

My daughter recently needed a change of address on her provisional licence ready for her test.
She filled in the form and sent it off with her provisional.
The DVLA quickly sent her a new provisional licence...complete with her old address on it Roll eyes
They don't always get it right Sad

Re: DVLA

I renewed my licence at the start of this year, had to do a 40 mile round trip to a PO that had the camera booth, but did it on Sat just before the PO closed. Got the new licence back the following week it was even correct! I double checked my bike & car were on it, as I had seen about them dropping a class before. (I took a scan of both parts before sending it away)

Re: DVLA

I like the way that the DVLA can get your picture and signature from the Passport Office!
They've done that for my last two licence changes.

Re: DVLA

It will be interesting to see what they do when my passport runs out as I won't be renewing it
Unless I am dead by then of course then it won't matter  Sad

Re: DVLA

If you are not using your passport the following documents can be used:
EU/EEA identity card, Evidence of State Retirement Pension, Travel Document, Biometric Residence Permit.
That's all the info on the paper renewal application. I don't think it's that clear Undecided
