DVD to MP3 Converter

Does anyone know of a free decent DVD soundtrack to MP3 ripper.
I have a few concerts on DVD and would like to extract these to MP3.
I have tried a couple of shareware offerings but they tend to restrict the number of tracks or time to rip.
I know there are copyright issues but I have read that this practice for personal use is considered acceptable.

I can find no way to rip the audio off a DVD in Media Player pierre. I can rip music CD's to MP3 in Media Player.

Re: DVD to MP3 Converter

What the difference between Audio and Music?  or are you talking about Videos?
my answer is not the simple one, but play the video on One machine with a patch cable from earphone to mic socket on another, then use Audacity to record the sound.  You can separate the tracks in Audacity and save sections at a time (Export to MP3)

avidemux and devede are free apps that may do the trick.

Re: DVD to MP3 Converter

Yes pierre it is a Music DVD with movie and sound. There are a few shareware apps about (tried a couple) that will rip the soundtrack off a DVD.
I'm having a look at alternative methods with stuff already installed but I thought there must be someone who has found that elusive perfect app for the job.
Thanks for your suggestions pierre.

Re: DVD to MP3 Converter

Looking back I guess it is Video, I have recently been recording the Transatlantic Sessions from BBC4 Videos onto my PVR, then ripping the Audio for the Wifes MP3 player using Audacity.  Works a treat.  I plug the audio outlet plugs on the PVR into the Line in socket on my PC,  You should also have audio out sockets on a DVD player.

avidemux looks the more promising...thanks artificer.
@pierre...yes I have but I'm looking at digital options first to maintain quality.
