Curiosity

If you have Google Earth. Type in Skunk Works (its possible you may need to be viewing in the US with GE first) you will be taken to what was once one of most sensitive areas in the world. The Lockheed Martin aircraft works, where some of the exotic US spy-planes were designed and built: U2 and SR71 to name but two.
However, to the east of the runways are a number of circular areas that look like crop circles and designs, except they're the wrong colours -black and white- but since the area is largely desert crop circles seem unlikely. Out of curiosity, and given where it is, anybody like to guess what they might be?
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Curiosity

Just below those circles there are what appears to be hundreds of houses (accommodation for the ex-Lockheed staff?). I suspect that the "crop circles" are exactly that, irrigated areas for growing crops locally for these people. It's a pretty isolated part of the world.

Re: Curiosity

Could well be nozzer thank you. On our numerous holidays in the Canary Islands Black sand and "fertile" irrigated areas are quite common, should have realised I guess.

Re: Curiosity

If you zoom right in you can see the irrigation bars and the spray, the one below also has the shadow ling.  a bit bigger than the ones on Lanzarote

Re: Curiosity

This is a reasonable enough video of what you are seeing - but at ground level (and in the middle east rather than US.)
