Cuba - A New President

After 59 years the Castro era has come to an end. A new president has been nominated.

What will this mean to the people of Cuba?

Cuba - A new Era

Re: Cuba - A New President

All change and no change seems to be the order of the day.

No democracy as there are no direct presidential elections in Cuba, and no democracy when legislators for the National Assembly every one was elected unopposed.

Nothing to see here folks so lets move along. Smiley

I'm guessing the cigars will still be banned in the US... Grin

Re: Cuba - A New President

The US could take this as an opportunity to change their stance in their relationship with Cuba.

Re: Cuba - A New President

The general feeling here is that if the US had an election tomorrow Trump would be reelected. His problem is not with the electorate but with the legal action that could be taken as a result of the Comey book and the payments to Stormy Daniels.
