Re: Crime in your area

No thanks.
I Live in Preston (Lancashire) and I already know from what is on the news that Glovers Court is ranked as the top place for crime.
People working in the area disagree and it does seem that it is the post code area that the figures relate to, so not sure why they picked on Glovers Court.

Re: Crime in your area

Yes, I've heard the site is a bit busy. I had a quick peek (without any problems) at 06:15 this morning. The combined total in my postcode was 47.

Re: Crime in your area

Perhaps the thinking behind it is that while everyone is checking the site no crimes will be committed  Cheesy Cool

Re: Crime in your area

I have not checked the website but at the last local Police Forum I attended we were told that there had only been 5 crimes reported in the area since the last meeting. I put my hand up to speak and then said "Interesting, as I have reported 6 of them!".
The figures are only as good as the accuracy of recording / reporting, and from my own experience that can leave a lot to be desired.

Re: Crime in your area

I had a look at the site for my area and the info doesn't tally with the reports I read in my local paper.

No thanks.
The server crashed on it's first day, plus that site has more trackers than you can shake a stick at.

Re: Crime in your area

The site seems to have been updated and the figures are more like the actual ones I have received from the Police.
