Re: Couple of pics for photography/ aircraft enthusiasts

The top picture with the 5 aircraft in profile against the rainbow segment is brilliant - I can see this being used as part of the Red Arrows publicity pack  Smiley

Re: Couple of pics for photography/ aircraft enthusiasts

I have a 20MB file of the Red Arrows and a Vulcan flying directly over my house a few weeks back, this being due to living somewhat closer than many to an RAF base than is normal.
Any free/anonymous file server I can upload these too?

Try Flickr.  I've used it to let other forum members view pics in the past.

not sure what you want me to check, what makes you think he is an amateur?
I would not like to take that sort of photo with a Hasselblad.
A lot of photos on the second page wer obvviously taken from another plane at a higher altitude, and I would expect most of the others with a very long focus lens

don't see why yours were typical Red Arrow pics in a clear blue sky and no ground showing, the subject ones were Rain Sky and lots of boats

Their twisting aerial manoeuvres with coloured smoke trailing in the wake is not normally upstaged.
But the Red Arrows's display was not the only thing to light up the sky yesterday.
A rainbow cast itself across the coast of Fowey in Cornwall just as the RAF acrobatic team were about to perform its stunts.

Re: Couple of pics for photography/ aircraft enthusiasts

@ pierre.... I don`t think they were taken from another aircraft.... I have been in contact with him and he went to the airshow....
also... compare them to these pics.... taken by a lady... amateur... at a UK airshow.... she certainly did not go up in a plane to take them.

also check out this one
http://www.flickr.com/photos/28199562@N02/3841626839/in/photostream/
and the comment from....Steve Maciejewski  (third one down) check out his pic too.... also have a look at his photostream...
Steve Maciejewski
especially page 2, where you can see similar shots to the original I link I posted....
Edit.... I think the original query was..... how did the plane make the cloud?  (yes it was going thru the sound barrier.... but why the cloudHuh)
