Re: Council Tax

Got mine this morning.  Good to see no increase from Essex County Council, Police, Fire and my district council. Paying £115 on a band 'E' property.

Imagine the horror on my face seeing your £115 for a band E when we're in a B and pay almost that much.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: Council Tax

Probably because you live in a city and @artmo live in the sticks.

Re: Council Tax

I dont know how Artmo worked that out, perhaps it was for his Florida property
Essex Band E per year
County Council £1328.25
Police £161.48
Fire £81.18
total  £1571.53
per month £130.96
then you have to add the local tax
I pay mine on a 10 month basis and it over £170 for band E

Re: Council Tax

I didn't have to work it out. I took it from the notice sent out by my council.

Re: Council Tax

Does Artmo live on his own?
Results in a 25% reduction I believe.
Don't know about Essex, but here in Berkshire you can't compare between Band E in Bracknell & Band E in Reading because they are different local authorities.
In fact, Pierre, you've answered your own question as you have a "Braintree Council" statement whereas Artmo has an "Essex County Council" one from reading the topic.

Re: Council Tax

I am not sure which district he is in it could be Brentwood, Onger/Epping, Uttlesford, but the lowest in Essex for Band E is just over 1700 per year, my District has a different rate for each parish, I live in the central non parish district so and the lowest in that area and mine if 1769 per year for band E

Re: Council Tax

Isn`t that really annoying...... when you copy and paste something that is "formatted" in nice neat columns,..... and when it appears on the forum it is unreadable.....about time someone at PlusNet sorted that problem out.? ? ? Roll eyes
