www.sparsholt.ac.uk seems to be down - can anyone get it?

Nope seems to be down.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

I'm just getting an invitation to view the Google cached version of the site which appears to be OK.

Somewhere, in a box, I've got my dad's notebooks from when he was there in the thirties. It's a few years since I last looked at them, but it's like reading ancient history, things have changed so much.

Still up now.
It looks like one of the traditional agricultural colleges that has expanding in other similar industries ?. Rather like I hear has happened at Writtle ?.

Re: Could someone check a website for me please

They all have Mal. It's been a case of follow the money & it sure as hell hasn't been in agricultural education for the last 30 years, nor that much in agriculture itself.
Might start to change soon though - the pendulum always swings & it sounds as if DEFRA have suddenly started to realise food shortages might just come back - just as they always do. Finding ourselves without oil, gas, food & anything much in the way of industry all at the same time does sound a little like carelessness. Better get the bankers back on side - looks like they are the only ones making any money again.

Re: Could someone check a website for me please

I actually went there on an opend day visit, late last year, (september I thnk) and there was a very definite "agricultural " bent at the place..... lots of animals in the buildings, not just day time tents.... but proper quarters, and the general "feel" of the place was that a lot of people were learning a lot about animal husbandry, and general farming for food processes.  so don`t knock it, unless you know for definite.....
