@artmo

Yes you are correct.....

The same article also says that brings the total in Japan to 86.

I clearly misread that sentence.

Thanks for the correction.

That article was 30 minutes ago, could easily be over 100 by now.....or maybe everyone on the ship has it but not showing symptoms yet.

Re: Coronavirus

I'm guessing this is going to do wonders for the cruise industry.

What are all those rich pensioners going to do with their money now?

Well if they really feel the need to throw away their money on useless things, my bank account is open to them for fiscal deposits... 😂

According to the TV yesterday it is named after 'Crown'

Coronavirus is the name of a group of viruses; I'm not sure why this one hasn't got its own name.  Perhaps since bird and swine are already taken, we are running out of animals to blame.

The provisional scientific name is 2019-nCoV, just rolls off the tongue doesn't it?  It's apparently informally named Wuhan coronavirus which might not be ideal for the city's tourist industry.

Why is it called coronavirus? What does corona mean?

According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coronaviruses are a group of viruses which produce symptoms similar to that of flu.

Symptoms can range from a runny nose, cough, sore throat and fever, but can also escalate to pneumonia.

Coronavirus gets its name from the word ‘corona’ which means crown in Latin.

Coronavirus has a series of crown-like spikes on its surface, which is the reason for the name.

Yep it still got the crown and spikes. Maybe if it grows a couple of legs and does a tap dance it will be well worth repeating.😀

Maybe it'd be best to have someone slightly more learned than the average resident in this nuthouse to explain:

Well it appeared in 2019 which was year of the pig,  but we are now in the year of the rat... to get some diversity into it I believe Woke want to call it  Sow flu..... but the misogynists want to call it Boar flu.  Why not split the difference because it is stil around in 2020 and call it Borat flu..

All we need now is someone to go the whole hog and suggest the cure is a good dose of apple sauce.
