Contact Us Forms requiring a mobile number

I refuse to get a mobile and lately having to use website contact forms to report issues and said forms require a mobile number or it won't progress.  I end up having to enter some bogus number just to contact who ever.
This is starting to annoy me, Tesco / Indesit both have that failing, I can't be the only one surely?

Re: Contact Us Forms requiring a mobile number

years ago i reguarly complained to bt that their contact form  telephone box was not big enough to inclued the text relay 18002 prefix and it took 4 years for them to amend it.
Dozens of other companies still fail to make the phone box large enough.....eg   currys
the solution and a financially rewarding one  (lol)  is to report them to

Re: Contact Us Forms requiring a mobile number

You're mixing up a web address with an email address.  http:// is a prefix for webpages, when you add something@somewhere.com to the http you're adding log in information to log into the site (for instance ftp://john@ftp.somewhere.com would log you in as john at ftp.somewhere.com).  The "correct" method for email is mailto:someone@somewhere.com just remove the http:// it's not needed in the context of emails.
On the other hand, no idea why the equality commission would need to know that websites require a mobile phone number, if you don't have one, just put zeroes in.

Some don't accept all zero's, Tesco for one
