Congratulations Plusnet!

Seems like you had a blinding evening last night, according to uSwitch
It also seems like your own blogmeisters have been hard at work
Well deserved! - You're still not top of the game, but you are heading firmly in the right direction!

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

What is impressive is not only the number of categories won, but the size of many of the margins over the ISP in second place.

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

The bit that surprises me is that AOL came second in customer service - I have to ask which ISP's were in the list and how many responses are required for a valid rating

For statistical validity, results are only recorded where a supplier had more than 175 responses.

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

Thanks Jelv,
Interesting and totally irrelevant piece of arithmetic 175 / 10518 is 1/60 and taking the total UK broadband of 9.5 million 1/60 is 158,000 (just a bit less than PlusNet's total numbers).

Yes ! Congratulations to PlusNet, on coming first in 98% of the categories..... What a shame about the above one though....
Personally, I am very satisfied with everything that PlusNet have going at the moment....
Well Done on all the rest ...

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

Considering all the problems with the security breach less than a year ago, this is a really good result and demonstrates some very, very hard work by all the PN staff.  A well deserved pat on the back to all!

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

I looked but couldn't find any definition of "best deal for you".
That said, what TalkTalk and Sky offer is a very good deal for lots of people I know, whereas what PN offer is the best deal for me AFAIK.
Unless PN are trying to become the mass market broadband provider of choice I'd say "stick to the knitting"!  Wink

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

Ah, found this in the full press release:
"The lowest overall scores are seen in the category „Best Deal for You‟, assessing whether customers feel their provider has placed them on the most appropriate plan. Just 39% of Pipex customers are satisfied that this is the case, and the average score for all suppliers is a meagre 45%."
So maybe PN do have something to deal with under this heading.......  Cry

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

looking at the companies who are included in the survey results Sky, Tiscali, Virgin Media, AOL, BT, TalkTalk, Pipex, Orange the result is a lot less surprising but gratifying nonetheless.
However that part which is most pleasing, but not unexpected, is the significant improvement from May 2007 to now - a definite cause for congratulation and the result of a lot of hard work - the one result which underpins all the rest is the customer service going from 59% to 73%

Re: Congratulations Plusnet!

Yeah, you can still order fixed rate products.  I'm just not sure why they would want to!
Unless they're actually limiting the speed at their end.
