In some other sort of trap I expect.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Computer Mouse Inventor Dies

Thanks for pointing out this news to us artmo.
A sad loss really. This guy has given me so many hours of pleasure using my computer and also so many mice to break, stamp on, throw against the wall etc when life is frustrating lol.
His invention truly changed the world (although many of us didn't know it at the time!)
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

[quote=From artmo's link]At least one billion computer mouses have been sold.
I would have thought it would be a much greater figure than that Undecided
Shame his patent expired in 1987 before it's popularity really began to grow Sad

Re: Computer Mouse Inventor Dies

If his patent had still been going I expect Microsoft and Apple would have jointly been accusing him of breaking one or more of their patents!  Tongue

It was a Brit, not a Yank !!!
Briton: 'I invented the computer mouse 20 years before the Americans'
A retired British professor has claimed he invented the computer mouse while working for the Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War – almost 20 years before the American widely credited with creating the first one.
I bet he's really Cheesed Off !

Re: Computer Mouse Inventor Dies

I'm surprised it was never called a rat considering the long length of cable. Then I suppose it wouldn't have been so popular Cheesy
