What a rip off on paying for motor insurance  Crazy
Mine is due (again!) and I pay monthly by DD to budget easier.
BUT this year they are wanting apr's of 30%++ !  Crazy Crazy
e..g quote of £230 on off payment = £290 if paying by DD  Cry  Crazy Crazy Crazy

Re: Complete Rip OFF - paying for insurance monthly

I used to pay my home and contents insurance monthly until they quoted me £600 for the premium Shocked
I found an equivalent deal for £200 and paid it in one go.

@ OP
That's disgusting.
The AA has always been high with their DD option.
You can't tell me that it costs them £60, as in your case, to administer the repayments.
Shop around, there are some companies that offer interest-free payment options IIRC.

Re: Complete Rip OFF - paying for insurance monthly

I have been shopping around. This was a sample from the CHEAPEST one (for a one off payment)
Here is a "cheaper" one
Green Insurance
One off £222.07
or pay monthly Deposit: £33.31 11 months at £22.98
So £286.09 or +£66.02 or 29.7% interest  Crazy
