What does annoy me is when you wait around for the clock to change - just so you can see it happen (radio control clocks I mean or the computer). You wait and wait and wait... and at the crucial moment something happens to distract you and you miss it lol.
I used to ring the speaking clock to hear it go back an hour.. smart barsteward didn't do it live.. you had to ring it back again to hear the new time the last time i tried

The radio signal pips for DABS radio signals are several seconds 'out of sync' (behind) actual time.
Anyone know if there are plans to bring DABS into line?

It's not possible. DAB takes the real-time signal from the Greenwich Observatory and it takes a little longer to be converted into a digital format (as opposed to FM), hence the delay.
Incidentally, anyone had problems with the automatic time update on Windows, especially Vista, going forward two hours instead on one?

I heard a BBC technical expert explain that on R4 yesterday.
It's not going to change (it can't) and part of it is down to delays in the decoders on the radio itself, and they vary quite a lot!
