Re: Clocks Forward

Yes, it is about time something was done about this.  In the US where the clocks moved forward on 8th march this year there are certain places that do not observe Daylight saving Time.  This applies to the most of Arizona as well as Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands.  Three other States are also debating this at present, Montana, Indiana and Alaska.  Makes for a bit of confusion I guess Huh

Re: Clocks Forward

I suppose it depends on which part of of the UK you are in.
Most of the people that seem to want this change live in the South east of England ?.
In places like Glasgow, Belfast, and west Wales etc. they don't want the dark mornings associated with keeping to "Summer time".
[Edit  Tim Yeo - MP for South Suffolk is a key driver for double summer time in summer and single summer time in winter ]

Re: Clocks Forward

I though they all do now ? -
A few years ago - I know they didn't as we had to cope with different dates - which make phoning our HQ in Finland problematic sometimes !.

I know it's pretty laid back in Greece (I'm there often enough) but not that much!  Grin

When do other countries change their clocks?
European Union - Most countries change their clocks on the last Sundays of
March and October.
North America and most of Canada on the second Sunday in March and the first
Sunday in November.
Egypt, Namibia and Tunisia are the only African countries who observe
daylight saving.
New Zealand and parts of Australia are the only countries in Oceania that
currently put their clocks forwards and backwards.
