Re: Climate Change: The Facts

Presumably for "balance" it has to be followed by 90 minutes of Nigel Lawson rambling on about how climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the whole scientific community (ie the standard R4 "Today" programme approach to the subject)

Re: Climate Change: The Facts

Followed by our friend trump who was quoted as saying ' We could do with that global warming down here' when recently visiting a state(s) in America recently affected by adverse weather

Re: Climate Change: The Facts

Reading somewhere this morning that the last time the planet was this warm, there were trees growing in what is now the Arctic.

True story or fake news? Hard to tell these days. Sad

Time to ditch those 4x4 SUV gas guzzlers guys. Roll_eyes

Re: Climate Change: The Facts

The Arctic being anywhere north of the Arctic Circle (approx. 69 deg. 33' 39" N)  there are lots of trees and forests there even now.  It is true that fossilised palm leaves have been found in areas now usually covered by ice, but we must take into account that the poles have not always been where they are now.

Re: Climate Change: The Facts

Here in the far west of Wales, they have actually found 150,000 year old evidence of English speaking natives living in semi detached houses.

Hard to imagine I know. Roll_eyes
