The public will demand more than Cliff standing on stage and singing into a microphone.

Are you sure? Here's one of Cliff's high production value shows.

Do you know what are you talking about? This was not a concert.

FYI CR was a guest at Wimbledon when it started to rain. I was there on the day. Wimbledon can be a boring place in the rain and CR decided to do an ad-hoc singalong to entertain the crowd. He was not paid for the entertainment.

I am missing Wimbledon this year, but watching it on TV brings back happy memories, the atmosphere is incredible.

Best memory, sat in a commentary box high up on Centre Court gantry, sat between Martina Navratilova & Billie Jean King for two weeks, and watching Cliff Richard entertaining the spectators, when it rained.

Some may disapprove of your attitudes, but as a fellow human being, (even claiming a bushy tail:grin:) you are not to be disapproved of.

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Cliff Richard Court Case

Jealousy is a very destructive emotion.

I have a number of friends in the show tech business, and I imagine that the lighting and effects alone will be in the tens of thousands per show, but that's not the point. There will always be those now, who take the attitude that he "got away with it", and bring the case up at every opportunity. His reputation is irrevocably tarnished for some.

His reputation was never very high, with me.

I quite liked the Shadows though.

Jealousy has nothing to do with what he will earn from his tour...it's where's the evidence Cliff's reputation has been damaged, when the tickets aren't cheap and they look set to be sell outs.

It's possible he's earning more over two nights at the Royal Albert Hall than his legal fees.

As to cost of production that's often down to the promoter to cough up not the artist.

Did you not notice the big cheesy  ?

The BBC gave him free publicity infront of millions, boosting his career, and what thanks did they get ?

Re: Cliff Richard Court Case

CR is to release another album ahead of his tour. He said the album reflects the turbulent times he has faced over the past four years.

I hope all the stuff he has churned out is banned.

Re: Cliff Richard Court Case

Hate the musak he produces.

Then he emerges from his £6m Barbados retreat to claim his privacy was invaded in house he wasn't even using. I expect the money he's made out of the BBC could have been used to spent on improved programmes.

Re: Cliff Richard Court Case

Fair enough, not every one likes his style. But I'll stand corrected on this and say I think you are wrong as I'm sure he was resident at the time which may be why the Police chose to take the action at that time so he was there to serve the Warrant on.
