Christmas Carols - Especially for Thunderclap

Especially for Thunderclap, (but others might like them too)
If you want some really nice Christmas Carols..... I can certainly recommend these
Ave Maria
Away in a manger
Chestnuts roasing on an open fire
Ding Dong Merrily on High
In the Bleak Midwinter
O Come all ye faithfull
O Holy Night
Silent Night
The First Noel.
All performed by Four really Beautiful ladies, with beautiful voices,  Collectively known as
Celtic Woman..... Go to Youtube, and search for them, switch out the light, turn up your speakers, or put your phones on...
. and E N J O Y  christmas carol singing at it`s best...

Re: Christmas Carols - Especially for Thunderclap

This isn't a Christmas carol, but, anyone who likes choral music would also be well advised to listen to 'The Shepherd's Farewell' from L'enfance du Christ by Berlioz - it's a beautiful piece of music.

Re: Christmas Carols - Especially for Thunderclap

I have to admit to loving Christmas!  I don't mind that it lasts a whole month, and being in The Salvation Army, I get to do lots of carols  Smiley  I've been to four Carol Services already (plus a small one at some old folks accommodation).  Another one tonight for the boys' school, at Chelmsford Cathedral, and another on Sunday.  It's great  Grin

I like the 'All Angels' rendition of silent night too, there is a version of that on YouTube.
And for a totally different take on it there is the Simon and Garfunkel version, but can't remember which album it's on.

Re: Christmas Carols - Especially for Thunderclap

Just one small nit pick Shutter your 'Oh' should be 'O' in the song titles, gives a slightly different meaning  Wink Roll eyes

Re: Christmas Carols - Especially for Thunderclap

I came upon them a few days ago, was looking at the various version of Ave Maria,  from Charlotte Church when she sang to Pavarotti and different writers, the SWMBO likes the J S  Bach arr Gounod version  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aQVz6vuNq7s   and not so much the Schubert one or Parsons

Translated...
Away in a manAger : Photocopy your Shocked on the office scanner.
Ave Maria : A festive cocktail for Essex Girls/Charlotte Church  (It's 99.99% Vodka)
In the Bleak Midwinter : Shopping in Woolworths
O Holy Night : Unless that is, it upsets religious minorites.
Silent Night : Or you'll get an ASBO.
The First Noel : Darn, he picked the box containing £250,000!!!!
Ding Dong Merrily on High : Kate Garraway in a santa costume?
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire : When indecent exposure goes bad.
O Come all ye prudent, bail-out the bankers.
They need our money, because they are skint.
Let us assist them, give them loads-a-wonga.
O Come let us finance them.
O Come let us credit them.
O Come let us adorn them.
Rollocks we're broke.
