Chinese network equipment banned from Oz Broadband

Australia has banned Huawei from bidding  for their broadband infrastructure upgrade.  The Ozzies are worried about the potential for Cyber-warfare if they used the Chinese equipment. Huawei's founders have very strong connections to the PRC military and that influence persists.
Guess who BT chose to provide most of its network equipment for its IP based infrastructure, in the process ignoring UK suppliers like Racal and Plessey?

Edit: moved China
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Chinese network equipment banned from Oz Broadband

As I use to work for Plessey I was surprised that it was still going. So looked them up and found that they have been defunct since 1989.
And I'm not sure whether ROC is correct, are you referring to the Republic of China. If so you are a few miles off.
