Check out your social standing

Ignore the ads for credit check, the post code information can make interesting reading.

Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Check out your social standing

I find this quite astounding. ... the accuracy of the information is unbelievable....
Quote

The children living in this area are typically aged between 0 and 15 years

And look at this.... superbly accurate, again......

Quote

Households consist of young and mature couples, families and single parents.

Amazing... how do they know these things..... just by looking up a post code ?
However... they have got this next bit TOTALLY WRONG !...
Quote

There is a below average level of car ownership and when travelling to work people tend to use private transport, walk or cycle

Down our street, just about every house has two cars... and I have never seen anyone on a bike !.. ( well one young man has a motorcycle )...

Apart from that..... not a lot worth talking about, really.... a bit of pointless information made up to look like it means something, when in fact , it can be applied to any postcode anywhere in the uk....  Undecided

Re: Check out your social standing

Not at all accurate.
The housing type for my postcode area is completely wrong as was the housing description.
They can't even get the basics correct and most of the other sections information is nonsensical.

Re: Check out your social standing

my postcode covers a small number of properties so it is easy to check the accuracy of the information.  Unfortunately it's not accurate at all.  I loved the bit about my house being worth £600,000 - if only  Wink

Re: Check out your social standing

very interesting - or not
"People will typically have lived here between 4 and 11 or more years".
The houses at this address are only 3 years old. Cheesy.

Re: Check out your social standing

For my Postcode...
People could have lived here for any number of years.
The children living in this area are typically aged between 0 and 19 years and the adults between 20 and 59 years.

Really !!  Roll eyes

It just goes to show how averages can be so misleading. It seems the geographic credit scoring is a heap of dung.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Residents in LU7 2** have a higher than average affluence rating, indicating higher levels of income and lower levels of financial commitments. Typically these may include DINKY (dual income no kids yet) or 'Empty nesters' - where children have grown up and left home.

The low level of financial commitments and empty nesters bit is true.
