Police are saying they doubt shots have been fired. This is backed up as at this time no ambulances have been called to the scene. Also the Police have not issued a 'Red Alert'.
All credit to the emergency services for their reactions to this situation.

People seemed very tense with tight security around buildings last week when we moved around parts of London.
We were pretty shocked at all the (Very Heavy Duty) barriers in place now around the albert hall and London eye etc.
The Christmas Market and Ferrari Exhibition was great though

We have not located any trace of suspects, evidence of shots fired or casualties. Officers still on scene. If you are in a building stay there, if you are on the street in
#OxfordStreet leave the area. Officers continue to search the area. More updates as soon as we have them

It must be awkward for all those security personnel when November comes around.
I assume at that time of year there has to be a lot of false alarms.

What an idiot the man is. He was in Selfridges and the incident was at Oxford Street tube.
It appears the incident was an altercation between two men on a platform at the station.
The incident did demonstrate, however, the state of preparedness of our security and emergency services in the capital. The first armed response vehicle was on the scene in less than a minute.
