Car Insurance

I was looking at on-line quotes for my Renault Megane and I was getting expected figures as shown in the first screen snip.
Then I scrolled down and came across some 'higher' quotes in the second screen snip presumably providing chauffeured transport in case of an accident.  Shocked

Re: Car Insurance

Yes, I have been looking at new quotes for my car as I decided that Saga were charging too much - but looking at these  quote screens confuses me - I find I cannot decide at all [think one of them is quite appropriately called confused.com!] and so keep thinking must decide but cannot make up mind!
Have also looked at what Hyundai insurance company would cost, and then at Age UK [I use them for house and contents - they are good if over 50!] and got a bit more confused.
Saga say they will match any like for like quote but have not found any cheaper quotes that has exactly the same conditions etc so think I will have to change and will decide soon.  Is Churchill good to deal with?  They come out not cheapest but reasonable.

Re: Car Insurance

I looked around last time I renewed my car insurance.  The best deal I found was Aviva but they are not on the comparative sites so you will have to go direct to them.  You get an extra discount for any other policies you have with them as well - home, buildings, health etc.

Re: Car Insurance

I am still with Direct Line - again not on the comparison sites - and up to now they have been very competitive

Re: Car Insurance

In one way I'm probably paying over the odds with MoreThan - I've got lifetime bonus protection and full breakdown cover, including Europe.
Not really bothered shopping around as last year, when renewal came, I was in Churchill Hospital, Oxford, having chemotherapy and this year I was in St Mary's Paddington having an EVAR.

Getting older does have some advantages then...
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Car Insurance

I was with direct line but switched to co-op insurance this year.  It saved me about £40, not a lot I'll admit, but it's better in my pocket than some insurance companies profits.
