Caps Lock Day

Today is Caps Lock Day so in honour of this festivity I have typed this topic entirely in Upper case.

Yes because it wouldn't be English Police

Mind you I remember when DVD encryption got cracked. They tried to take it down.

Then someone worked out the app byte pattern could be encoded as a prime number (a long one mind you), and joked something like "Well it is a prime number, nothing wrong with that".

(Note: To think I used to be able to read Hex without looking it up when I was system testing at the DVLC)

Back in the day I could read 5 and 8 track paper tape; interpret 80 column cards and quite happily work arithmetically in Octal - what a load of old garbage we pick up and discard in a lifetime.  All just memories and largely forgotten these days.Embarrassed

Did you have a hand dibber for correcting the punched tape? Cut out the wrong section and splice in a corrected patch?
