Cans

For some reason there is a shortage of cans of soft drinks in this area, not sure if it’s shortage of drivers or some other reason but both supermarkets & small shops are the same.

No shortage of bottles or cans of alcohol…..

Wonder if it’s just in this area of Lancashire.

Re: Cans

@gleneagles

I think you'll find most of them have been chucked out of car windows.

Mainly seen on half hidden bends in the road were the guilty toss them out unseen, or on the slow approach towards roundabouts where the not so guilty do the same and often under the cover of darkness.

Morons all.

Re: Cans

I've been hit by a large plastic pop bottle ejected from a passing car.

Fortunately the bottle was empty and although the car was travelling in excess of 40mph the bottle was probably travelling at a lesser speed, but it hurt.

Re: Cans

Ouch.

I first read that as 'poop bottle' and thought "what the...., surely not!"

But there again nothing would surprise me as that other type of waste in plastic bottle is often thrown out of windows by those non-stop long distance lorry drivers on the continent.

Driving when using a mobile is one thing, but that?

Re: Cans

It's in a can so it's vaguely related.

Anyway I particularly like Lidl's cans of chicken curry which come in hot or mild choices. I like the hot. Now I look and there are two big trays as usual but they are all the "mild" version when they are usually evenly mixed.

I didn't think anything more of this but I just happened to be in a different Lidl's, a few miles away, and yes I just happened to look. And like the other one a couple of big trays and you probably guessed they were all of the "hot" variety.

I suppose the same lorry delivered to both stores.

@gleneagles

Surprisingly I think they might still be quite a few, at least tin plated anyways.

@Strat

You should've taken down the car's number plate and phoned the Plod, I would've.
