According to my source it would be half a scissor though my first 'guess' is technically more accurate.

If I Google image 'scissor' all I get are pairs of them for obvious reasons.
What do scissor manufacturers call them before they are paired up.
Each scissor in a pair of scissors is different in some way so we have left scissor and right scissor.
A similar situation exists with a pair of compasses.

and the caption says the whole thing is a 'scissor' (see attachment) so the original picture becomes 'half a scissor', simples!  Wink

A broken pair of Scissors.... used as a letter opener  ?
